Hybrid hearings
Since March 2020 we have facilitated over 1,800 virtual and hybrid hearings globally, spanning more than 5,900 sitting days with participants from 100+ countries.
Overview
Hybrid hearings offer parties of a dispute a more flexible and cost-effective way of conducting proceedings, especially where participants may be in multiple international locations. In a hybrid hearing, groups of participants will typically join from different physical locations, including law firms' offices, hearing venues and other spaces – referred to as ‘hubs.’ In addition to the cost savings from reduced travel, hybrid hearings allow law firms and their clients to adopt more sustainable litigation and arbitration practices to minimise their carbon footprint.
Our unique multi-award-winning solutions are specifically designed to deliver a rich experience tailored for every participant and hub location, and fully managed and supported by our world-class services team.

“In the cases I’ve been involved with that have included virtual or hybrid hearings facilitated by IDRC and Opus 2, I’ve found the [Virtual Hearing Manager] to be extremely useful as it allows me to concentrate purely on the case in hand, and not be distracted by the technology.”
